An economic calendar lists the scheduled economic releases and events that can move the currency markets: central bank interest rate decisions, inflation (CPI), employment reports such as NFP (US Non-Farm Payrolls), GDP, retail sales, business surveys and speeches by central bankers. Each entry shows when it happens, which currency it affects, how much impact it usually has, and the forecast and previous values.
This forex news calendar is built from the Forex Factory calendar and shows the events of the week in your time zone, so you can see at a glance what is coming today and later in the week.
Releases that often move a currency sharply, such as an interest rate decision, NFP or CPI. Spreads can widen and prices can jump around the release time.
Releases that can move the market, usually less than high impact news.
Releases that rarely move the market on their own.
A bank holiday in that currency's country: trading is often thinner.
Release times are fixed in the country that publishes them, while you trade in your own time. Daylight saving time starts and ends on different dates in Europe, the United States and Australia, so the gap between your clock and a release can change from one week to the next.
This calendar converts every release to the time zone you choose, using the official time zone database with its daylight saving rules, and groups the events by your local day. An event late in the evening in New York can fall on the next morning in India or Tokyo, and it is listed on that local day.

High impact marks the releases that usually move a currency the most, such as an interest rate decision, NFP (US Non-Farm Payrolls) or CPI inflation. Medium and low impact events usually move the market less, and Holiday marks a bank holiday with thinner trading.
